Giving Back
Team Unstoppable and Kid’s Café
One of the partnerships that Team Unstoppable is very proud of is the partnership with Kids Café. Kids Café is an organization that feeds hungry kids dinner in the evening while offering a safe haven and tutoring from loving, committed volunteers.
"Being able to give back to the community is at the heart of why Elizabeth and I work so hard," Chris says. "It is more than what we do — it is who we are. Our team is made up of many talented, giving people who feel the same way. That is why we are constantly looking at ways that we can partner with local initiatives in our community that could use the volunteers and support that our team can provide."
"Our team members are able to sit down and get to know the kids personally," Chris continues. "They are able to witness the impact they have in that child’s life and we know that makes their life more meaningful as a whole. Elizabeth, myself and all of Team Unstoppable are dedicated to feeding all of the 40,000 children that go hungry every night in our communities. We know that this is a large undertaking but with the dedication, commitment and love that our team has to reach our goal. We will get there and our lives will be richer because of it."
About Kid’s Café
The Kid’s Café program partners with local nonprofit organizations, businesses and individuals to feed hungry children living in our community.
Kid’s Café was formed locally in 1996 as a tool to help end childhood hunger. Operated by the Freestore Food Bank of Cincinnati, Kid’s Café is a program of the national organization America’s Second Harvest. Often Kid’s Café is referred to as a "soup kitchen" for kids and is regarded as a safe haven for children living in high crime, low-income neighborhoods. In addition to being fed a nutritious meal, the children at Kid’s Care have the opportunity to participate in educational and recreational activities and be nurtured by caring adults.
Each week, hundreds of children are served a healthy evening meal at Kid’s Café. Kid’s Café’s goal is to serve 209,000 meals on an annual basis, allowing the program to reach out to over 25% of all local children living with hunger.
